Account Deletion Request

At Ggobook, we respect your right to control your data. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, you may do so by following the instructions below.

1. How to Delete Your Account

You can request account deletion through the following methods:

• In-App Deletion (Recommended):
  1. Open the Ggobook app.
  2. Go to Settings > Account.
  3. Tap Delete Account and confirm your choice.
• Email Request:

  If you cannot access the app, please email us at support@ggobook.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Please include your registered email address to help us verify your identity.

2. What Data is Deleted?

Upon account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed from our active databases:

• Personal Information: Your name, email address, and profile picture.
• User Content: All documents, text, and summaries you have uploaded or generated.
• App Data: User preferences, settings, and usage history.
• Authentication Data: Your login credentials and linkage to third-party providers (Google, Apple).

3. What Data is Retained?

In some cases, we may retain certain data for legal or legitimate business purposes, such as:

• Transaction Records: Purchase history may be retained for accounting, tax reporting, and audit purposes (as required by applicable laws).
• Legal Compliance: Data required to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes.

Note: Retained data will no longer be linked to your personal identity where possible.

4. Subscription Cancellation

Important: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your active subscriptions. To avoid future charges, you must cancel your subscription through the respective app store:

• iOS: Go to iPhone Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > Ggobook > Cancel Subscription.
• Android: Open Google Play Store > Tap Profile Icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Ggobook > Cancel subscription.

5. Processing Time

Account deletion requests are typically processed immediately. However, it may take up to 30 days for all data to be completely removed from our backup systems and archives.

6. Irreversibility

Warning: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, you will not be able to recover your documents, purchase history, or account settings.
