This page explains how to delete your Ggobook account and associated data, what is deleted, and what may be retained. For complete details, see our Privacy Policy.
1. How to Delete Your Account
1.1 In the App
- Open Ggobook and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
- Review the warning, complete reauthentication if requested, and confirm deletion.
1.2 By Email
If you cannot access the app, email support@ggobook.com with the subject Account Deletion Request. Send the request from your registered email address where possible and identify the sign-in method or account you want deleted. Do not send your password, document contents, or full payment details.
We may request information reasonably necessary to verify account ownership. If an account cannot be identified or ownership cannot be verified, we may be unable to complete the request until verification is provided.
2. Before You Delete
- Download or keep independent copies of documents, notes, and AI results you need. Account deletion is irreversible.
- If you have published a reading guide or other material and want it removed from the public Service, remove it first where that option is available or include the public-content details in your email request.
- Cancel any Apple App Store or Google Play subscription separately. Deleting your Ggobook account or uninstalling the app does not cancel a store subscription.
3. Data Deleted from Active Ggobook Systems
After a valid deletion request is processed, Ggobook deletes the active Firebase Authentication account and recursively deletes the account's private Firestore data and private cloud uploads. This generally includes:
- Profile information and Ggobook's link to supported sign-in providers.
- Private documents, uploaded files and images, extracted text, thumbnails, folders, and metadata.
- Reading positions, highlights, bookmarks, notes, settings, notification data, and synchronization records stored under the account.
- Private AI prompts, chats, generated answers, summaries, translations, annotations, reading guides, and account-level usage records.
Deletion removes Ggobook's account linkage; it does not delete your separate Apple, Google, or other sign-in-provider account. Local files or copies saved outside Ggobook must be deleted separately from the relevant device or service.
4. Data That May Be Retained or Independently Controlled
- Anti-abuse record: HMAC-pseudonymized sign-in-provider or verified-contact identifiers and summary counters relating to trials, promotions, account deletions, and AI usage may be retained for up to 180 days. This record does not contain original documents or chat content.
- Public content: Reading guides or other material you chose to publish, together with related metadata, ratings, and usage counts, may remain available to preserve the public Service. We remove or de-identify account linkage where reasonably possible, and you may request removal by email.
- Transactions and subscriptions: Apple, Google, and RevenueCat may retain purchase, receipt, entitlement, refund, and fraud-prevention records under their own policies and applicable law. Deleting a Ggobook account does not delete a store account, cancel a subscription, or necessarily erase those independent transaction records.
- Legal and support records: Limited records may be retained for tax, accounting, consumer-protection, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal claims, or compliance for the required period.
- Diagnostics and backups: Aggregated or pseudonymized analytics, security logs, and crash diagnostics follow configured retention periods and provider policies. Deleted data may remain temporarily in encrypted backups or recovery systems, isolated from ordinary use until overwritten or deleted under the applicable backup cycle.
5. Processing Time
In-app deletion initiates removal from active Ggobook systems immediately after successful server processing and any required reauthentication. Email requests are handled without undue delay after identity verification and within the period required by applicable law. Temporary provider, network, security, or legal issues may delay completion; we will provide an update if additional action is needed.
6. Subscription Cancellation

7. Questions and Other Deletion Requests
You may delete individual documents or folders without deleting your whole account by using the available controls in Ggobook. For account deletion assistance, removal of published material, or another privacy request, contact support@ggobook.com.
