These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Ggobook Tech ("Ggobook", "we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the Ggobook applications for Android and iOS, the Ggobook website and web application, and related cloud and artificial intelligence features (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms to use the Service. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes the organization. The Service may not be used where prohibited by law.
Ggobook helps users upload, parse, organize, search, read, and synchronize supported documents and related reading data. Features may include PDF, EPUB, DOCX, HTML, text, image, and URL processing; folders, reading positions, highlights, bookmarks, and notes; AI consultation, summaries, translations, vocabulary or grammar explanations, and reading guides; notifications; public sharing; and subscription-based usage or storage allowances.
Features, supported formats, limits, and availability may differ by device, platform, language, country, subscription tier, or product version. Some processing requires an internet connection and may continue after you close the app.
You may use a supported sign-in method, including an anonymous account where offered. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials and devices secure, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity on your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
Do not sell, transfer, or share an account in a way that defeats access controls or subscription limits. Free trials, promotional benefits, and similar offers may be limited to one per eligible person, account, device, payment method, or other reasonable eligibility signal. We may use proportionate measures to prevent duplicate benefits, fraud, or quota circumvention.
The Service may offer a Free tier and paid tiers currently named Basic, Pro, and Expert. Plan names, prices, features, quotas, storage, and promotional periods may change or vary by platform or region. The terms and price displayed at checkout control your purchase.
Mobile subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and subscription status and entitlements are managed with RevenueCat. Your purchase is also governed by the terms of the store through which it was made.
A recurring subscription renews automatically and is charged by the applicable store unless you cancel it through that store before its renewal deadline. The store displays the billing period, price, renewal date, and cancellation instructions. After cancellation, paid access generally continues until the end of the paid period unless the store states otherwise.
Deleting the app or your Ggobook account does not cancel a store subscription. You must cancel it separately in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You may use the store's restore-purchases feature or available in-app customer center to recover eligible purchases.
Refunds, billing disputes, and payment-method issues are handled under the applicable store's policies and mandatory law. Price or plan changes will be communicated as required by law and store rules and ordinarily apply from a later billing period. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer cancellation or refund rights.
"User Content" means documents, images, text, URLs, prompts, chats, notes, metadata, and other material that you submit to or create through the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content. You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed to submit it and to instruct us to process it.
You grant Ggobook and its service providers a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, parse, convert, display, and otherwise process User Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and develop the features you request. This license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, except for limited backups, legal or security retention, and public content described below and in the Privacy Policy.
If you ask us to publish a reading guide or other material, you also grant Ggobook a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, adapt for formatting, distribute, and publicly display that material as part of the public Service until it is withdrawn or removed. Published material may remain available after account deletion, with account linkage removed or de-identified where reasonably possible. You may request removal by contacting us.
If you provide feedback or suggestions, you permit us to use them without restriction or compensation, provided we do not identify you publicly without permission.
The Service uses Google Gemini and related systems to process prompts and relevant document or conversation context. AI output is generated probabilistically and may be incomplete, inaccurate, offensive, outdated, or similar to output provided to others. You must review output before relying on, publishing, or acting on it.
Private User Content is not made public unless you affirmatively request or authorize publication. Public submissions may be reviewed, moderated, rated, rejected, de-identified, or removed. We do not promise to publish or continue displaying any submission.
Do not publish personal or confidential information, material that infringes another person's rights, or content that is unlawful, deceptive, abusive, sexually exploitative, or unsafe. You remain responsible for your submission and interactions with other users.

Except for User Content, the Service, software, design, trademarks, and other materials are owned by Ggobook or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.
If you believe content available through the Service infringes your rights, email support@ggobook.com with sufficient information to identify the work, the allegedly infringing material, your contact details, and the basis for your claim.
The Service relies on third parties such as Apple, Google, Firebase, Gemini, and RevenueCat and may link to external websites. Their products, availability, and independent processing are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control, but this does not limit responsibilities that applicable law places on Ggobook.
We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent operation. Maintenance, network failures, provider outages, security incidents, legal requirements, or product changes may delay or interrupt features. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features or limits, with notice where required.
You should keep an independent copy of important original documents and verify that uploads, synchronization, exports, and AI-generated materials are complete. The Service is not an archival or emergency storage service.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account through the available account settings. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary for a material or repeated violation of these Terms, security or fraud risk, harm to users or third parties, nonpayment, provider or legal requirements, or discontinuation of the Service. Where practical and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to address the issue; urgent risks may require immediate action.
Account deletion does not cancel a store subscription. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, public-content licenses, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute terms, and lawful retention—will survive. Data handling after deletion is described in the Privacy Policy.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the Service or AI output will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose. These disclaimers do not exclude warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ggobook and its affiliates, personnel, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, goodwill, opportunities, or data, arising from the Service. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability arising from intentional misconduct or gross negligence where applicable.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it. Disputes will be submitted to a court with jurisdiction under applicable law. If you are a consumer, this section does not deprive you of mandatory protections or a forum available under the law of your residence.
We may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. We will post the updated Terms with revision and effective dates and provide at least 7 days' prior notice, or at least 30 days' prior notice for changes materially unfavorable to users, unless urgent legal, security, or technical circumstances require a shorter period permitted by law. We will obtain consent when required. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using the Service and cancel any subscription before they take effect.
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a lawful merger, reorganization, or transfer of the Service, subject to applicable notice requirements. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and purchase-specific terms form the agreement concerning the Service.
